Salon makes their own chocolate from scratch using the finest Belgian ingredients, and this shines through in their handmade praline and truffles. The chocolate here is not too sweet, allowing you to enjoy the generous lashings of chocolate on your waffles and crepes. Must-try includes Chocolate Shot, chocolate-covered Rice Krispies and Donut Waffles. Their Lava Cake and Brownies Crepe are show-stealing dishes too. Wouldn’t any chocoholic fall in love completely with a shop that is dedicated to serving only chocolate on every menu item? The response has been overwhelming with long queues since their inception. From fruits on sticks dipped with chocolate to crepes drenched in chocolate goodness, Dip & Dip offer a wide variety of chocolate and more chocolate. Even their beverages are all chocolate based! You can choose according to your preference of white, milk, or dark chocolate. The show stealers here are the Dip ‘n Dip Waffle, Waffle Stick, Fettuccine Crepe, Fondant and Molten Lava Cake. For chocoholics, no amount of chocolate is ever enough. Presenting another series of attention-seeking desserts, Mad About Coco is yet another spot-to-be for chocolate lovers. The must-try is here the Innocent Devil Tiramisu Ball which comes encaged within a chocolate ball, which is then melted away by pouring molten chocolate on top of it. Another attraction is its Signature Cake which has its top layer melted off by a stream of piping hot chocolate to reveal a molten centre. Other show stealers include their Tutti Frutti Waffle and Pancake Stack, which are equally plate-licking good. Now we have all gone goo-goo-gaa-gaa about Red Velvet cake, but how about Chocolate Velvet cake? Marquise Patisserie Chocolaterie offers you just that. They have incorporated a chocolate twist to the all-time favourite Red Velvet, and generously coated it with cream cheese and topped with chocolate coated nougat. This Chocolaterie incorporates Belgium chocolate in its wide variety of desserts and truffles. Show stealers here include the Dome Au Chocolate Amande and Black Forest Chocolate cake. Located at the heart of the KL city, Godiva Chocolatier believes that quality chocolates makes quality drinks. Their “Chocolixir” is nothing compared to the chocolate inspired Frappuccino you will have at Starbucks or Coffee Bean. But of course, with good quality, comes a hefty price. One cup of these "Chocolixir" costs about RM22. Another must-try is their White Chocolate Salted Caramel drink – rich and creamy that no coffee house can beat. It is absolutely heavenly. You most probably shouldn’t go without trying their Walnut Rocky Road (RM40). A slice of chocolate walnut pie is served on a sizzling skillet with Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice-cream. Chocolate chips, almond flakes, and marshmallows are sprinkled on the pan, followed by a stream of butterscotch cream. A dramatic sizzle while the chocolate chips and marshmallow slowly melts into a yummy gooey mess. There’s also variants of apple and banana crumble. This chocolate dessert is definitely worth licking the pan for – if not for the hot skillet pan!
